JP Whitaker & Associates (established in 1991) is a results-oriented leadership and HR training enterprise. We specialize in developing strong leaders and communicators in the workplace through interactive workshops, presentations, and coaching. We also offer public workshops that provide HRCI hours for HR Professionals and one-on-one coaching for job seekers. JP Whitaker & Associates utilizes highly experienced training consultants to fulfill the needs of our clients.

Meet the Owner, Janis Whitaker, M.A. – Trainer, Speaker, Author, Coach

Janis has been a learning and development professional since 1984. Throughout seven years of her career, she worked as a Corporate Trainer and Supervisor in the Medical Manufacturing field.

Ms. Whitaker has conducted hundreds of workshops in a broad range of work environments, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Janis skillfully integrates years of corporate expertise and plentiful consulting experiences into her workshops, bringing her presentations to life. Her subtle humor, personable style, and seasoned professionalism set her apart as a highly sought after presenter.

In addition to her years in corporate learning and development Janis was:

• an adjunct faculty member at the University of Phoenix (3 years)
• an adjunct faculty member at University of California San Diego (UCSD)
• conducted a Presentation Skills workshop at San Diego State University (SDSU) for The Center for Community Economic Development (CCED) within the College of Business Administration (8 years)
• a Head Examiner for The Institute for Quality and Productivity (SDSU, Team Excellence)
• an adjunct faculty member for several Community Colleges in the SF Bay area

She is a regular guest presenter at professional organizations including conferences (ASTD 2009 ) and special events.
